1. How can Career Spa assist my company with a reorganization or downsizing?
Answer: One of the most unfortunate results of reorganization is the elimination of jobs and the loss of high performing employees. Career Spa will provide your company with practical solutions so that the overall message of termination is accomplished with care and the transition to the new structure is as smooth as possible. By leveraging our extensive experience in assisting Fortune 500 corporations with the planning and successful implementation of a reduction-in-force event, we will present options and provide insight into what we have seen work effectively for other clients.

2. Who is eligible for Career Spa services?
Answer: We believe anyone affected by a reduction in force should be offered career transition services. In our experience, all displaced employees can struggle with job loss. The sense of fear, anger or betrayal and the loss of self-confidence can occur regardless of financial status, position in company or age of the individual. Offering career transition guidance and support conveys the message your organization cares about their well being. It also helps to maintain the morale of those employees who remain, minimizing the impact that can result from a reduction in force.

3. Will Career Spa help our displaced employees find new jobs?
Answer: Career Spa will teach and equip employees to be in the best position to compete in today’s job market.  Our complete SPA Treatment of workshops, coaching and workshop teams will provide the best practices, encouragement and accountability to help them find a job in their sweet spot. During the Career Spa introductory meeting, we will walk through various programs and offerings in order to provide the most appropriate and customized approach for your organization and your employees.

8. What is Coaching, and how does it work?
Answer: Career Spa uniquely offers one-on-one Coaching as the foundation to our approach, whether the employee is in our 5 or 10 week program. We have found that people faced with career transition require in-depth personal coaching in order to fully appreciate their strengths and potential, discover their passion and ultimately secure the most desirable positions. While doing this, our seasoned coaches will provide support, encouragement and accountability to their client. We feel this approach, coupled with the Career Spa interactive 2 day workshop, will provide your employees with the most effective and rewarding career transition experience.

9. What if someone wants to disengage with their assigned Coach?
Answer: Everyone at Career Spa wants our program to be a success for your employees and we will do our best to match each individual with an appropriate Coach. All of our Coaches are in their “true calling” and have varieties of real business experience. In other words, they are not coaching in a direction that they have not personally experienced. They are experts in the most effective strategies to assist professionals in finding their true path and maintaining a competitive edge in a challenging job market.

10. Tell me more about the interactive Two Day Workshops.
Answer: The Career Spa workshops provide best practices in job search strategies within a small group environment. Topics will include self-assessment, resume development, self-marketing, organization skills, networking, interviewing, selection, negotiation and starting a new position. Each of the workshops are led by two senior recruiting and career transition experts who keep up to date on the latest trends and techniques in the career transformation process.

11. Where are the Workshops held?
Answer: Career Spa has partnered with The Georgian Club to provide our clients with a professional and comfortable environment conducive to learning and collaborating.  In certain situations, workshops can also be held on site at your organization.

12. What assessment tools does Career Spa use? Are other tools available as well?
Answer: All participants going through our program will take the SDS (Self Directed Search), a report that provides a list of the occupations and fields of study that most closely match their interests. For those whose job development direction is more certain, this report will provide validation to what they already know. But, when there is greater uncertainty, SDS can help them make the best career decisions wherever they are in life. Career Spa also offers and recommends many other assessment tools for participants whose needs are greater, for example, career changers, people entering the workforce after a long hiatus, or people contemplating returning to school.

13. Can Career Spa recommend employment-related resources and information?
Answer: Yes. In addition to the resources recommended in our workshops, each participant will have access to other resource materials (articles, book recommendations, etc) in the Members Only section of our website.

14. What are Workshop Teams?
Answer: A Workshop Team will be a group of fellow job seekers who participated in the same workshop. The coach will enable the group to help each other with leads, encouragement, and accountability. We feel it is important for employees in transition to take advantage of group activities. We encourage Workshop teams to continue to network, attend events and stay connected throughout the entire job search process and beyond!

Answer: Yes. A 50% discount off any Career Spa services during the next year.
